Vision & Mission

Its’s people that bring outdoor spaces to life. Design should never overstep this purpose.

At SEVEN I blend refinement with functionality to create spaces that set the stage for life and community.

As William Morris said,

“Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”

The same holds true for landscapes.

My goal is to create backdrops for core memories, spaces that bring people together and reconnect us with the natural world.

Every landscape holds potential, sometimes hidden, sometimes obvious, always worth uncovering.

Meet the Founder

I am Sam, a Chartered Landscape Architect and Garden Designer, and the founder of SEVEN.

My work blends a love for craft and material with a belief that design is most powerful when it brings people together.

  • Over the past seven years I have worked with leading practices across the UK and Europe on projects ranging from small gardens to nationally significant cultural landscapes. Each one is rooted in the same intent: to create spaces that connect people to place.

Collaboration sits at the heart of everything I do. I am a strong advocate for Co Design, the process of shaping spaces with the people who use them, and in 2020 I was awarded the Landscape Institute’s Mark Turnbull Award for my research into Designing Social Spaces.

I travelled across Europe to understand how different countries design with people in mind, and that work continues to shape how I approach every project today.

At SEVEN my aim is simple, to design spaces that grab you, work hard for you, and reset you.

Let’s talk about

Kerb Appeal

The part no one likes to mention, but everyone’s thinking about.

Landscape design is often seen as a luxury, but it can also be a wise investment.

A well considered landscape can:

• Lift value and character — thoughtful design makes a place more desirable, helping it stand out and adding real worth over time.

• Ease the path to sale or planning — a strong landscape story captures imagination, sells a lifestyle, and strengthens planning outcomes.
